CHECK OUT THE DIFFERENT AREAS OF OUR MINISTRY
Years ago everything started with a church and a school. Now that we’re back in Jamaica we see many more areas that need help. Below you can learn more about everything we do.

We started Hope's House because of the desperate need in St. Thomas parish for a home that accepts abandoned children. Sadly there are many and the need is great.
HOW HOPE'S HOUSE GOT ITS NAME
Hope is a beautiful little muffin who was abandoned at the local hospital when she was born. We brought her into our home and had a family in the States who wanted to adopt her. Because of corruption in the adoption system, Hope was taken from us and her new family.
But God always has a plan. Through this heartbreak and tragedy, He revealed to us the great need for a children’s home in the parish of St. Thomas, Jamaica.

HOPE'S HOUSE
St. Thomas, Jamaica lacks industry to provide jobs, therefore it is the poorest parish in Jamaica. Culture and scarce jobs leave many mothers in situations where they are unable to care for their children. Many children are removed by the Child Development Agency from volatile situations or unhealthy environments. All the children removed have survived traumatizing experiences and need a home where they are loved and shown the love Jesus has for them.

Hope’s House is the first and only existing children’s home in St. Thomas. Before it, children were being removed and sent to outside parishes.
It is our privilege and responsibility to give each child in our care the individual attention that they require, the hope that comes from Jesus, and the tools to have a promising future.
God provided a beautiful home in Botany Bay, St. Thomas, where we have been able to create a home environment for up to ten children. The first five children came to our home just in time for Christmas 2021! Already, we have seen each of our children begin to heal and grow, we have seen them pray for each other and love each other, (when they aren’t fighting like siblings).
Hope’s House also provides many jobs in this small community by hiring moms so they are able to take care of their families. This affords Seaglass the opportunity to do exactly what God has asked us to do, showing the love of God and changing a community one person at a time.

HOPE'S HOUSE NEXT CHAPTER
God is already writing the next chapter of Hope’s House!! We have been given almost five acres of “Miracle Land”, overlooking Morant Bay in St. Thomas, Jamaica. It is a beautiful lot that will both house our children as they grow and provide us with room to care for many more. We are calling this project Phase II and are in the early planning stages but would like to begin construction as soon as God says it’s time.
We’re very excited to get this going and see what God does. We know God is at work and He so loves the little children!
HOW CAN YOU HELP?
Please Pray! Please come and work! Please give generously as God directs you! Hope’s House needs monthly commitments or one-time gifts to cover the children’s expenses and the pay for staff. Every single prayer and donation are appreciated, and we thank you.

We love these little ones and an education can be a life changing gift!
The St. Thomas education system is a struggle. School is free, but uniforms and textbooks are expenses that many families cannot afford. There is not a bus system in St. Thomas, so children take taxis to and from school and this is often an overwhelming expense for local families. Most homes do not have wifi and computers which are needed for homework.
Seaglass Ministries has paired with Hylton’s Family Foundation in Botany Bay, Jamaica to aid in making education an option for every child possible.
Some of the ways the education program is helping students is with offering students a place to do homework, study, and have after-school help. The HFAF is transforming the community center in Botany Bay into a beautiful after-school learning center with wifi, computers, desks, and space for learning.

EDUCATION PROGRAM
BOTANY BAY, JAMAICA

The lost generation hidden away in homes. These elderly have no way to support themselves without family help. Monthly giving to our EFP gets them 1 hot meal per day, and they are so grateful.
ELDERLY FEEDING PROGRAM

We secured an old building right in the center of town to be used as a boutique. This boutique offers jobs to young women trying to pay their way through school or just support their children. Each employee receives a grant which enables them to return to school.
Seaglass Boutique sells donated, gently used clothing for an affordable price. This will include women’s clothing of all sizes and accessories along with children, baby and men’s clothes. All proceeds will go to the women who are employed there. What an asset to Botany Bay this is!

SEAGLASS BOUTIQUE
BOTANY BAY, JAMAICA
I love to talk about our little oldies. There are a few elderly people in our community that have little to no income to survive on. Every day someone asks for just a little bit to eat. God has put in our hearts to help feed them. Mrs. Grant runs the cook shop in the community and serves a meal called the “hot dollar” because it only cost a buck and it’s a hot meal. Usually chicken and rice. The people in the program will receive 1 hot meal per day. Oh, the smiles because someone cares.
HOW CAN YOU HELP?
This program is growing as we discover more elderly in our community living back in the “bush” and unable to leave their homes. Just a small monthly donation of any amount helps us feed these precious people that God has not forgotten.
There is no greater privilege or joy than sharing Jesus with others. Seaglass Ministries is working with teams, churches, and groups to share the love of God with the people of St. Thomas visiting churches, schools, hospitals, and hosting evangalistic outreach events. Revival is coming, here in Jamaica and in the U.S.! Our prayer is that He will be honored and glorified through His people and through Seaglass Ministries.
"And he said to them, “Go into all the world and proclaim the gospel to the whole creation. Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved, but whoever does not believe will be condemned."
Mark 16:15-16

OUTREACH
ST. THOMAS, JAMAICA
“You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden. Nor do people light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a stand, and it gives light to all in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven."
Matthew 5:14-16
